What causes

Bruises?

A bruise is caused by blood trapped under the surface of the skin. It is caused by an injury that crushes small blood vessels but does not break the skin. Blood seeps out from these blood vessels into the surrounding tissues. Bruises cause skin discolouration and are often painful and swollen.

It is a fact that women bruise more easily than men. About 30% of women feel they bruise easily.

Hirudoid also available in gel formulation.

What is

Hirudoid?

Hirudoid is a cream that has been clinically proven to heal bruises fast* by speeding up the healing process. It is the health and beauty product that goes beyond the cosmetic and brings real science to healing.

Hirudoid contains MPS (Mucopolysaccharide polysulphate) which is similar to the body’s naturally occurring MPS found in the dermis layer of skin. The skin’s healing capability relies on the presence of MPS in the tissue. Scientific studies have shown that the MPS in Hirudoid penetrates to the dermis layer in effective concentrations to heal bruises fast.

MPS has many clinically documented properties including the promotion of tissue regeneration and reduction of swelling and inflammation. It is in these ways that Hirudoid accelerates the healing time of bruises.

Pharmaceutical Actions of MPS:

Anti-coagulant effects
Anti-thrombotic properties
Anti-phlogistic (Anti-inflammatory) properties
Tissue Regeneration properties

Uses of Hirudoid.

MPS accelerates healing in the following ways:

  • Improves blood flow to the area
  • Promotes tissue regeneration by increasing collagen and elastin fibres in the connective tissue matrix
  • Improves moisturising capacity of the skin by increasing the hyaluronic acid content
  • Accelerates the absorption of bruises
  • Reduces swelling and inflammation

After Hirudoid treatment

I used Hirudoid on bruising suffered after permanent eyeliner tatooing. The swelling and pain reduced almost immediately. When I suffered bruising from the first treatment I used only ice packs. Hirudoid was much more effective.

As any fellow pole dancer would know, bruises are part of the journey. Without this cream, I wouldn't have the courage to walk out in shorts. Used twice a day, it has sped up recovery time tremendously and I can't live without it. Amazing, have recommended it to all pole girls and will continue to do so!
